Be careful not to scratch the slides as you slide them under the stiff plastic springs. There isn’t much of a margin on the film for the holder to grab. Slides were easier to mount and scan. The transparency unit can actually be removed to accommodate large or thick documents. But it’s hard to find a range rating from a scanner manufacturer, even when they underwrite independent tests. There’s very little curve to a single frame of 35mm film held captive by a slide mount.
